Mr. S. P. DAVARE

B.A.(HONS.),LL.B. 2009-2013

Born on 6th April 1951 at Pune in the renowned family of freedom fighters. Schooling was completed from NMV High School, Pune, Graduated in Psychology, obtaining B.A.(Hons.) degree from S.P. College Pune and completed LL.B. from ILS Law College, Pune, while serving in Canara Bank.

Practised in Law for about 14 years in District Pune in various fields, sach as, Civil, Revenue, Co-operative and Banking etc. Functioned as Legal Adviser to State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Union Bank Of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Sangli Bank, for all branches in District Pune. During practice, was elected as Vice-President of Pune Bar Association and also as Secretary Pune District Law Library.

Assumed charge as Judge, City Civil Court and Addl. Sessions Judge, Greater Mumbai on 10th February, 1993 and functioned as Designated Judge under TADA(P) Act for Greater Mumbai and Special Judge(NDPS) for Greater Mumbai and Special Judge under PMLA Act and also worked as Registrar ADR in High Court, Bombay. During Judicial Service, worked in various areas and conducted numerous high profile cases. Moreover, served as Principal Judge, Family Court, Aurangabad and took keen interest in conducting ADR programmes, such as, Lok Adalats etc.

Elevated to Bombay High Court and assumed charge as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 10th February, 2009.

Retired on 06th April 2013.
