| Born on 26th February, 1951 at Girgaon, Mumbai. Completed his formal education with M.Sc. LL.B. from Bombay University in 1976. Enrolled as an Advocate in March, 1977. Served as part time Lecturer in Mercantile Law for two years at Thane. Practised extensively in Civil and Criminal Law under the guidance of Senior Advocate Mr. R. D. Ovalekar at District Thane and was elected as a Joint Secretary and later on as a Secretary of the Bar Association, Thane, District Thane, for two consecutive terms. Worked as Additional Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor, District Thane and was a Notary Public till the appointment as City Civil and Additional Sessions Judge, Mumbai, in 1993. Served as Member-Secretary, District Legal Aid and Advice Committee, at District Thane during his tenure as Additional Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor at Thane.|
For a substantial period of his tenure as City Civil and Additional Sessions Judge. Mumbai, was obliged to work as the Special Judge under The Prevention Of Corruption Act, 1988, The Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, The Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, The Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against Safety of Maritime Navigation and Fixed Platforms on Continental Shelf Acts, 2002, and was privileged to try sensitive CBI cases, such as Telgi Scam cases, Bilkis Bano case through newly introduced Video Conferencing facility. Served as the Principal District Judge, Solapur in 2008-2009. Elevated to the Bench on 10th February, 2009.
