Born on 20th December, 1955. Worked as Auditor in the office of the Accountant General, Maharashtra-II, Nagpur. Did B.A.,L.L.M. from Nagpur University. Was national merit and ULG Scholarship holder. Stood first in the order of merit in BGL and L.L.B. examinations in 1978 and 1979. Recipient of Motilal Nehru Centerary Gold Medal, Narendraji Tidke Gold Medal, Bhaiya Saheb Mankeshwar Gold Medal, Rai Sahib R Banerjee Silver Medal, Dewan Bahadur R. Pandit Silver Medal, Shri Chimanlal Setalwad Golden Jubilee Prize, Shri Chondro Ghosh Memorial Prize and other awards and prizes.

Enrolled as an Advocate on 11th October, 1979. Started practise in Nagpur District Court. Appeared in High Court and District Court in Civil and Criminal matters. Was appointed as Lecturer in Post Graduate Teaching Department in Law, Nagpur University from July 1982 to May 1984.

Joined judicial service in the cadre of Civil Judge, Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate, First Class in the year 1984 and worked at Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Silvassa, Akot and Murtizapur. Promoted to the post of Additional District Judge in 1993. Was Joint Director and Director of JOTI (Maharashtra) Nagpur and Joint Director of Maharashtra Judicial Academy and Indian Mediation Centre and Training Institute, Uttan. Worked as common District and Sessions Judge, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu. Was Principal District and Sessions Judge, Yavatmal, Jalgaon and Nasik and Administrative Member Industrial Court at Nagpur. Had an opportunity to work as Registrar, High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Bench at Goa and Principal, Government Law College, Mumbai. Elevated as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 1st January, 2015.

Retired on 19/12/2017.
