B.Sc.,LL.B. 2009-2015

Born on 20th December, 1953 at Thane, District - Thane. He passed his S.S.C. Examination from New English School, Thane and completed his graduation in Science(B.Sc.) in the year 1974 from Ramnarian Ruia College, Matunga, Mumbai. He completed his degree in law(LL.B.) in the year 1979 from Thane Law College. He joined the legal profession from October, 1979 after getting Advocate Sanad from Bar Council of Maharashtra. As an Advocate, he worked mainly in Thane District and dealt with Civil, Criminal and Motor Accident Claim matters. During the year 1992-93 he was appointed as special Public Prosecutor for conducting the prosecution on behalf of State Governement in the Sessions matters before the District and Sessions Court, Thane.

He was selected as a Judge, City Civil and Sessions Court, Mumbai and joined the said post on 20th August, 1993. During his judicial career he worked on Civil side as well as Criminal side. From the year 1996 to 2000 he was appointed as a Special Judge under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985(NDPS), From the year 2000 to September, 2005 he was also appointed as a Special Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for taking up the matters investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation.

From September, 2005 to June, 2006 he was appointed as Registrar, Information Technology, in the Registry of High Court Bombay and dealt with the overall Computerisation Project within the State of Maharashtra.

From June, 2006 to October 2007 he was again transferred to City Civil and Sessions Court, Mumbai for mainly taking up Criminal matters. From April, 2007 he was again appointed as a Special Judge, under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

From 13th October, 2007 to 9th February, 2009 he was posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ratnagiri.

On 10th February, 2009 he was elevated and appointed as Additional Judge, High Court of Judicature at Bombay. He has keen interest in drawing, painting and photography.
