B.A., LL.M. -1987

Justice Sam Nariman Variava, B.A., LL.M. : Was born on November 8, 1940. He was enrolled as an Advocate of the Bombay High Court on June 22, 1964. He practised mainly on the Original Side of the High Court and appeared in the Bombay City Civil Court. He worked as part-time Professor of Law in the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Bombay. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on November 21,1986 and permanent Judge on June 12, 1987. He was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court on May 25, 1999. He was appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of India on March 15, 2000. Retired on November 8, 2005.
