MR. Hosbet Suresh

Justice Suresh Hosbet : M.A., LL.M. : Born on 20th July, 1929. Enrolled as an Advocate of the Bombay High Court on 30th November, 1953, and practised both on the Original and Appellate Sides of the High Court. Was a part-time Professor of Law at the Government Law College, Bombay from 1960 to 1965 and at K.C. Law College, Bombay from 1965 to 1968. Was also the Assistant Government Pleader in the Bombay City Civil and Sessions Court at Bombay from 1967 to 1968. Appointed as a Judge of the Bombay City Court and Additional Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay on 29th November, 1968. Promoted as the 2nd Additional Principal Judge, Bombay City Civil and Sessions Court, in October, 1979. Resigned his post on 23rd June, 1980 and resumed practice in the High Court at Bombay. Was designated as Senior Advocate of the High Court at Bombay in 1982. Appointed Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court with effect from 21-11-1986. Appointed permanent Judge of the Bombay High Court from 12-6-1987. Retired on 19-7-1991.
