Justice Ajit Prakash Shah, B.A., LL.B. : Was born on February 13, 1948. He was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra on April 17, 1975. Initially he practised in the District Court at Sholapur and shifted to the Bombay High Court in 1977 and practised in Civil, Constitutional, Criminal, Service and Labour matters. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on December 18, 1992 and appointed as a permanent Judge of that High Court on April 8, 1994. He has assumed charge as Chief Justice of Madras High Court on 12th November 2005. Due to retire on 13th February, 2010.
