Born on 5th March 1960 at Ratnagiri. Completed B.Com from K J Somaiya, Mumbai and L.L.B from New Law College, Mumbai. Comes from a family of Lawyers and Judicial officer. Practiced at City Civil and Sessions Court Mumbai and Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Mumbai from July 1984. Joined Judicial service as a Civil Judge (J.D) & J.M.F.C on 3rd September 1990 and worked at various locations in Maharashtra. Promoted as Ad-hoc Additional District Judge in May 2001 and then as a District Judge in December, 2007. Served as Principal District Judge, Osmanabad and Sangli. Served as Joint Secretary, Law and Judiciary Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai. Served as Registrar, Original Side and Inspection at Bombay High Court. Served as a Registrar General Bombay High Court. He had taken interest in the welfare of Judges of District Judiciary. He had long association with the Maharashtra State Judges' Association and worked as the Secretary, Vice President and President of the Association. Sworn as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Bombay on 5 December 2019. Confirmed as Permanent Judge of the High Court on 1st June 2021. |
