JUSTICE M. G. SEWLIKAR

B.Com., LL.B. 2019-2022

Born on 21st September, 1960 at Jalna. Mr. Justice Sewlikar obtained a degree in commerce from Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune and LL.B. from ILS Law College, Pune.

Mr. Justice Sewlikar started his practice in 1984 in the Pune District Court on the civil side. He then practiced at the Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court, from 1985, with a focus of civil and constitutional matters.

In 1990, he joined the judiciary as Civil Judge Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class.

During his long judicial career, Mr. Justice Sewlikar has served in numerous capacities dealing with various civil and criminal issues, including :

- District & Additional Sessions Judge

- Registrar, Securities Appellate Tribunal, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs

- Registrar (Inspection), Bombay High Court

- Principal District & Sessions Judge

- President, Industrial and Labour Court, Maharashtra

Mr. Justice Sewlikar was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Bombay on 5th December, 2019.
