Justice Ayyampalayam Somasundaram Venkatachalamoorthy, B.A., B.L., PGDCL., M.L. : Born on January 8, 1943. Enrolled as Advocate on August 21, 1964. Practised in the Madras High Court in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional and Company Law. He has specialised in Civil and Constitutional Laws. Worked as part-time Lecturer in Madras Law Colleges from 1970 to 1983. Worked as Government Advocate (Criminal) in the Madras High Court during 1976-1977. Worked as Additional Government Pleader in the High Court during 1983 to 1989. Worked as Additional Central Government Standing Counsel in the High Court during 1990 to 1992. Worked as special Government Pleader in the High Court from June, 1993. Appointed as permanent Judge of the Madras High Court from October 17, 1994. Transferred to Bombay High Court on November 30, 1994 and again transferred to the Kerala High Court on October 31, 1997. He was transferred back to the Madras High Court on December 13, 1999. Retired on 8th January, 2005.
