Born in Mumbai on 17th July, 1972, Mr. Justice A.S. Doctor completed his schooling from the St. Mary's School (ICSE) Mumbai and went on to graduate from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and then the Government Law College, Mumbai.

Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa on 19th July 1998. Joined the chambers of Senior Advocate, Darius J. Khambata, (Former Advocate General for the State of Maharashtra and also Former Additional Solicitor General of India).

Practiced essentially in Civil, Constitutional, and Public Interest matters including those pertaining to the enforcement of Environmental Laws. Between the years of 2009 to 2012. Empanelled as Panel Counsel of the Union of India, (Senior Counsel Group - I). Appeared extensively for the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission in several matters. Appeared and also acted as arbitrator in several arbitrations.

In addition to practice in the Hon'ble Bombay High Court, has also appeared before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, and various Tribunals and Commissions, including the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).

Elevated as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 19th July, 2022.
