Vithalbhai Patel


He was born on 27 September 1873 at Nadiad and was the elder brother of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.  He did his early education in Nadiad and Bombay.  He enrolled at the Lincoln's Inn and was called to the Bar on 1 July 1908.  He returned to India and applied for practicing at Bombay High Court on 28 July 1908.  He earlier practiced in the Courts of Godhra and Borsad as Pleader and after becoming Barrister he practised in Ahmedabad and Bombay.  He was Co-founder of Swaraj Party with Chittaranjan Das and Motilal Nehru.  He worked with Subhashchandra Bose.  He died in Geneva, Switzerland on 22 October 1933 and was cremated in Bombay on 10 November 1933.
