He was born on 25 December 1876 in Karachi as "Mahomedali Jinnabhai" to Jinnabhai Pooja and Mithibai.  He went to England in 1893 and enrolled with Lincoln's Inn.  He was called to the Bar in 1896 and on his return to India he enrolled as Barrister in Bombay High Court on 24 August 1896 and initially stayed at Apollo Railway Hotel at Charni Road.  Jinnah was tall, fashionable, crafty and persuasive Advocate.  Immediately after arrest of B.G. Tilak in the Second  Sedition trial in 1908, Tilak briefed Jinnah for obtaining bail. In the Third Sedition trial of Tilak in 1916, Jinnah successfully defended him and got acquittal.  He simultaneously pursued political career and after partition in 1947 became Quaid-e-Azam of Pakistan and died on 11 September 1948.
