Justice Jal Rustamji Vimadalal, B.A. (Hons.), LL.B. : Born 11th March, 1915. Educated at Cathedral and John Cannon High School, Bharda, New High School, Elphinstone College; Government Law College. Enrolled Advocate Appellate Side on 7th September, 1936. Advocate Original Side on 24th August 1939 and Advocate of Supreme Court on 7th October, 1941. Did all types of Original, Civil and Criminal cases in Bombay. Appointed Judge of Bombay City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge on 20th February 1958. Appointed Principal Judge of Bombay City Civil Court and Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay on 21st December 1963. Appointed Additional Judge, High Court of Judicature at Bombay on 25th April, 1967 for a period of two years. Appointed Permanent Judge on 26th October 1967. Transferred to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh from 24th June 1976. Retired on 11th March 1977.
