Shri. Pratap Vishnu Hardas was born on 14th July,
1953 in the family of lawyers and inherited the rich legacy of his
father the late Shri. V.G. Hardas. After completing early education
from Mount Carmel School, Dhantoli, Nagpur he passed SSC examination
from S.F.S. High School, Nagpur and graduated from S.F.S.
College, Nagpur. After obtaining LL.B. degree from University
College of Law, Nagpur, he joined the Bar in 1977 and laer
chambers of Shri. B.U. Wahane, who was later appointed as a Judge of
the Bombay High Court. He appeared in important criminal cases
and Sessions Trials and represented the defence and prosecution with
equal ease. A suave, silent, soft-spoken and articulate person, he was
appointed as a Special Public Prosecutor in various sensational cases
such as Ramesh Dhawad murder case, Gondia custodial death case and in
the murder case of Shubhangi Suryavanshi. He was standing
counsel for Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran and was on the panels of
Steel Authority of India, Nagpur University and Central Bureau of
Investigation. He was the Secretary of High Court Bar
Association from 1990 to 1993. He also actively participated in
