Born on 7th March, 1950. Matriculated from Khalsa High School, Nanded in 1966. Graduated in Commerce in 1970 from People's College, Nanded.  Completed L.L.B. In 1973 from Law College, Nanded.  LLM from Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 1984. First in order of Merit in L.L.B. 1st and IInd Years and 1st in order of Merit with First Division in L.L.B. Final.  

Recipient of Marathwada Legal Education Society Award and Sir Chimanlal Setalwad Memorial Award for standing First in L.L.B. Final.

Enrolled as a Member of the Bar and practised at Nanded from July 1973. Honorary Lecturer in Law College Nanded From July 1973 to Feb 1976. Joined Judicial Service as Civil Judge & Judicial Magistrate First Class on 18th February 1976. Posted as such at Parbhani, Kaij,  Ambejogai, Washim and Aurangabad. Promoted as Civil Judge Senior Division in June 1985 and as Additional District & Session Judge in December 1986. Served as Additional District Judge at Nagpur, Wasim and Thane.


Promoted as District Judge in October 1992.  Served as Joint District & Session Judge at Amaravati and Beed and as District & Session Judge at Chandrapur, Akola and Union Territory of Diu and Daman at Silvasa.  

Served as Additional Registrar (Administration and Inspection)  at Bombay High Court.

Served as President Cooperative Appellate Court Mumbai  and as Principal Secretary & Legal Remembrancer to the Government of Maharashtra Mantralaya, Mumbai.

Elevated as Judge, Bombay High Court on 22.6.2005.
