Justice Ramanlal Maneklal Kantawala, M.A., LL.B. :  Born 6th October, 1916.  Educated at the Cambay High School, Gujarat College, Ahmedabad; Elphinston College and the Government Law College, Bombay.  Enrolled  Advocate, Bombay High Court on the Appellate Side in September, 1943.  Practised mostly on the Original Side of the Bombay High Court.  Appointed Additional Judge, High Court at Bombay for two years w.e.f. 9th February 1962.  Permanent Judge from 6th February, 1964.  Appointed Chief Justice on 27th October, 1972.  Retired on 6th October, 1978.
