Mr. Justice H. M. Birdwood

Mr. Justice H.M. Birdwood, M.A., LL.D., (Cantab.), I.C.S., Bar-at-Law : Was a very able, learned and independent I.C.S. Judge. He was, besides being I.C.S., M.A., LL.D. of Cambridge and Barrister-at-Law. He knew Gujarati very well and perfectly understood native idiom. Birdwood was appointed a member of the Executive Council of the Governor of Bombay from which post he retired.
